Who We Are
The Stormwater Equipment Manufacturers Association supports the regulatory and engineering communities as well as the individual cities and states in implementing the Clean Water Act. Association members recognize that as cities, counties and states around the country must develop stormwater initiatives, they have few resources to turn to for guidance and help. This, coupled with tight budgets, limited research staff to find the best solutions for controlling stormwater, and unique regional challenges, creates a monumental task. The Stormwater Equipment Manufacturers Association provides a single source to turn to for direction in the development of their standards and regulations.
Any organization engaged in the manufacture of a product or system designed to reduce the pollutant load associated with stormwater runoff is eligible to petition to become a Manufacturer Member of the Stormwater Equipment Manufacturers Association. Manufacturer Members have voting rights on all association issues. The Manufacturer dues for this year is $3,750 (USD)
Any organization engaged in the provision of services for the purpose of maintaining and extending the life of any system designed to reduce the pollutant loads associated with stormwater runoff is eligible to become a Maintenance Member of the Stormwater Equipment Manufacturers Association. Maintenance Members have voting rights on all association issues except technical documents.
Any organization not engaged in the manufacture of a product or system defined as a Manufacturer Member but that is otherwise associated with the industry (supplier, distributor, service provider) is eligible to become an Associate Member of the Stormwater Equipment Manufacturers Association. While this membership is non-voting, your opinions and contributions will be considered in the development of all association issues and you will have influence in the development of any resources.
Any person not engaged in the manufacture of a product or system defined as a Manufacturer Member but who is interested or otherwise allied with the industry is eligible to become a Professional Member of the Stormwater Equipment Manufacturers Association. While this membership is non-voting, your opinions and contributions will be considered in the development of all association issues. There are also options available for government officials who are unable to pay for association memberships. Contact Laurie Honnigford to discuss these options.
